[Sidus TC Sync] About the Software
What Sidus TC Sync does, the media and timecode it supports, and system requirements.
Sidus TC Sync is desktop software for organizing and synchronizing production media by timecode before editorial. It reads timecode stored in a media file's metadata and decodes Audio LTC recorded on a camera audio track. It also supports Audio LTC in WAV and PolyWAV files.
After synchronization, Sidus TC Sync lets you review the timeline and export an XML for supported editing applications, including DaVinci Resolve 17 or later and Final Cut Pro.
What you need
- A Mac running macOS 12 or later, or a Windows PC running Windows 10 or later.
- Video and/or audio media from the production.
- Matching timecode across the devices you want to synchronize. Timecode may be embedded in file metadata or recorded as Audio LTC.
Supported workflows
Sidus TC Sync supports:
- Embedded SMPTE timecode in media metadata.
- Audio LTC on a camera audio track.
- Audio LTC in WAV and PolyWAV files.
- High-frame-rate timecode.
- XML handoff to Premiere Pro CC, DaVinci Resolve 17 and later, Final Cut Pro 7, Final Cut Pro X 10.2.x through 10.4.x, and Final Cut Pro 11.
Sidus TC Sync does not need the camera to have a dedicated external-timecode port. If a valid LTC signal was recorded on an audio channel, it can be used for synchronization.
