[Sidus TC Sync] Create Your First Timecode-Sync Project
Step-by-step workflow for your first timecode-sync project, from import to XML export.
Use this workflow after camera cards and audio-recorder media have been copied to storage.
- Create a new project in Sidus TC Sync.
- Import the video folders and the separate audio folders for the shoot.
- Let Sidus TC Sync analyze the media. It reads embedded timecode first where available and detects Audio LTC where it is present on an audio track.
- Run synchronization.
- Review the resulting timeline. Confirm that each camera angle and each production-audio file begins in the expected position.
- Correct any clip that could not be read or was recorded with incorrect timecode.
- Export the XML format for your NLE and import it there.
Before you start
- Copy the full card structure where possible; do not rename or move files after import.
- Keep every source file online until the XML has been imported and relinked successfully in the editing application.
- When using Audio LTC, keep the LTC channel intact. Do not apply processing that changes its level, speed, or pitch before syncing.
