[Sidus TC Sync] Review and Correct a Sync
Review the synced timeline and correct out-of-sync clips before exporting to your NLE.
Always review the Sidus TC Sync timeline before exporting. This is where you catch an unsynced clip, a missing audio file, or an incorrect timecode setup before it reaches editorial.
What to check
- Clips from the same take start at the expected time.
- Camera angles line up with production audio.
- No clip is noticeably early or late.
- The expected camera and audio sources are present.
- Long takes remain in sync near their end, not only at the start.
If a clip is out of sync
- Confirm whether it has embedded timecode or an Audio LTC track.
- Check that the media is the original file, not a proxy or altered copy.
- Confirm that the production frame-rate and timecode settings were consistent.
- Re-import the original source file and run sync again.
- If the clip still cannot be decoded, place it manually in the timeline using a known sync point, such as a slate or clap.
