[PR-4] Timecode Settings
Set the PR-4 timecode mode, input/output, frame rate, group, jam, and color.
The PR-4 supports both internal timecode generation and external timecode input, and can act as master or slave. Timecode settings are greyed out during recording.
Timecode Mode
- Master: the PR-4 wirelessly outputs timecode to other Deity receivers (such as TC-1/TC-2) set to Auto Jam or Jam Once And Lock in the same group. It can also output over the TC I/O jack.
- Auto (Auto Jam): the PR-4 waits for external timecode and synchronizes to it. This is the default slave mode.
- JAM1 (Jam Once And Lock): synchronizes once to external timecode, then locks and ignores further master commands until you change modes.
TC I/O
- L-OUT: outputs timecode at line level.
- A-OUT: outputs timecode at mic level to a DSLR; recorded as audio on the left track, with headphone audio on the right.
- L-IN: accepts timecode input at line level. Disabled when TC Mode is Master.
FPS
Frame rate options: 23.98F, 24F, 25F, 29.97F, 29.97DF, 30F, 47.95F, 48F, 50F, 59.94F, 59.94DF, and 60F. DF indicates drop-frame. When slaved, set the frame rate in advance to match the master.
Group
Set the sync group (default A). Deity's Bit Connectify wireless sync lets Deity timecode devices sync with each other when they share the same group.
TC Set
Available in Master mode. Set the TC start value (long-press the Select knob to reset to zero) and the User Bits (UB). Choose OK to write locally, or SYNC to also send to slave devices.
Jam
Manage sync between the PR-4 and external timecode. EXT shows detected external timecode, INT the internal timecode, DIF the difference, and JAM synchronizes to the external source. The TC I/O switches to L-IN while in this screen.
Color
Set the timecode group color (eight options), shown on the home screen frame-rate box to distinguish devices in a multi-device setup.
